That's a Felony

A felony can be an action that causes psychological harm. No matter how much we say we aren’t affected by words, words can affect us. Words can cause psychological harm, leading to anxiety, rejection, and depression. I remember taking on the labels people gave me. It showed up in how I spoke to myself and in the timid behaviors I displayed in public. Internalizing harmful messaging should be a felony!

The next time you hear someone speaking negatively, don’t internalize their words. Instead, picture yourself as a felon for absorbing messages from callous individuals who lack credibility and have no business speaking on anyone.

Have a test of courage! Don’t be a felon—fix your crown!
